    That is exactly correct. The oil pump pumps the same amount of oil per crankshaft revolution at 100rpm as it does at 2600rpm... plus/minus a little for pump leakage. The bearing load increases drastically over that same rpm range. You do not want to be hammering poorly oiled bearings at 2000+...

    I think I can see why you have torn down lots of engines. That has to be the worst advice I have seen in a long while. Faster is when the bearings are under the greatest stress. It's the worst time for them to be without oil. Let it idle. -Chuck
