    It didn't look to me like the damaged P51 was unflyable, but then I wasn't sitting in the cockpit. It is within the realm of possibilities that a more seasoned P51 pilot would have landed the plane... The only pilot that mattered in that plane thought it best to bail out and head for Dodge...
