It's one of the darkest greens there are. Did you have him pull up the formula and see if there is a green component? I know the black is not flat black, it has a blue component and you can see it in a comparison, but it's very hard to see on it's own...
I had samples at HD made of all these and have used the green 383, brown 383 and black (gallons). I went to the local hardware and tried their paints match. You are much better off going the distance for Behr...it's much better quality.... and don't forget the Flotrol !!!
