    M925A2 snow plow install

Oh yea, while I have a Parker expert, we are going to go through the valves design for a power beyond application that would go in place (hydraulically) after the pump (on a 925) and before the winch valve with full flow capacity but reduced size spools for the low flow requirements of a...

    M925A2 snow plow install

This might be a little OT but I talked to Chelsea today about the 939 Chelsea PTO and have found that our 5 ton PTO is obsolete and the new one that fits is 1/2" wider at the frame, which would appear to make fit in the A2 a bit of a problem with frame clearance. That wasn't what I asked...

Then it's not the same as your diagram. Glad it works for you.

    M925A2 snow plow install

"takes 52 second to turn fully one direction, which puts me at 2.25 GPM at 350 PSI" Did you hook it up and time it? You say it's double acting...did you make it turn in both directions yet? There appears to be a way but I don't think it's plug and play.

    M925A2 snow plow install

Uhhhh, if that is the pump you have (in the schematic), start thinking of plan B. It's single acting, gravity return. See the valve portion near C1 with the spring on one end and the square with a dash (that represents the electric coil), that is the valve that lets it down by draining back to...

    M925A2 snow plow install

First cylinder volume. You have (2) 4" x 20" cylinders. One gallon is 231 square inches. Volume of a circle is 3.14 x 4 (r squared) x the stroke 20". So 12.47 x 20"= 251.3 cubic inches = about 1.1 gal each. Note that you are really just pumping from one side of the cylinder to the other...

    M925A2 snow plow install

I think the PTO turns at about 1.4 x the engine rpm, I'll confirm that. If i'm not mistaken there are 77 teeth on the Allison in the 5 tons and 55 on the AT 1545 in an A3 deuce. I just counted the PTO and the gear that mates to the tranny is 25 teeth and the reduction inside had 28 on the...

    M925A2 snow plow install

I have NOS PTO's cheap and can help in sizing hydraulics if you need it. Also have a lead on some positive displacement pumps (but an active ebay, so PM me). I've made a birds nest with my winch on my crane (too much slack) and had to extend it all the way out and rewind the entire thing...

    M925A2 snow plow install

Your problem is going to be when you put it down, the wire that was nicely wound around the drum turns it into what others refer to as a birds nest...no longer nicely wound and after doing it a few times, possibly hard to get undone. It will be interesting to see if you have enough control to...

    M925A2 snow plow install

Isn't the plow in the way, unless you could go under it with the cable? A three circuit manual valve would be able to give some fluid to two, and possibly a third if you were not winching fast. I forget the flow rates but I think the winch max is about 25 gallons/minute where your plow needs...

    M925A2 snow plow install

Have you solved the hydraulics? The winch uses a lot of flow and your plow will use very little, so sizing should be right.
