After three days of following, searching ans some repair I finally got power from the ignition switch and down to distributor. First attempt to start the engine was not successful. Now for that tasks.
WOW, once again it's been a long time since posting. Numerous life events have occurred that have kept me from working on my trucks. Most recently prostate cancer with a radical prostatectomy completed. But the heck with that, let's talk M43.
I pulled the engine back out of the ambulance...
Finally working on her aagain :}
WOW it has been a long time since I posted. 2015 has not been the best year for me. The APA I have had no less than six life altering events this year. Most physical event and the one that has prevented me from working on my MV’s was a traumatic amputation...
Hey Joe,
I have to tell you I am rethinking the SeaFaom Green. There is some evidence it was used, but not a lot that I could locate. So I'm now leaning toward the white. But first some rust repair.
I did have to cut a lot of the screw out - ok drill them out.

So as I started to removed things today - big surprise I found rust. So now the process of removing and fixing. The question, what is the best option on this?
Part of me wants to remove the z section between the roof and wall, the other part of me is leaning to cutting and 'scabbing'...
So I have a few weeks between two jobs. The 'honey do' list is done - so now it is on to the M43 list.
Working on removing everything in the passenger compartment - based on the recommendations of others that have proceeded before me.

Yesterday another interesting vehicle came...
Major Joe - I was afraid the suggestion would be to pull the inside out. I was thinking the same thing. It might be be such a bad idea however, as I have decided to repaint the back inside the Seafoam Green, so everything has to come out anyways.
The rack is totally gone, so a replace is my...
Roof Rust removal - as I pulled away paint and removed rust - I found more rust. I know, what a surprise. I kept cutting until the rust was removed. I would like to 'shot' POR-15 down the areas that I did not open up. Has anybody done this before? How have you managed to get coverage in...
As promised - updates on the work thus far. Inside - removed ceiling to inspect and in preparation of repainting. Some rust, however mice was the most damaging.
No I have not found anything about it. I just figure others have stated they were not totally uncommon I like it and it looks like it belongs there, so it is staying.
West Michigan Flood
OK so it has been a long time since I have added photos or updated my work. Honestly, I will update. But I just thought I would share what is happening here in Western Michigan - RAIN. There was six inches of water in the barn - down to about four now. I still have to...
Sound like a good idea of getting together and sharing thoughts. I went looking for photos of your project - I could not find any. Did I just miss them?? Where are you on the restoration??
Todd
Yeah I was hoping to get if for less than 3k also. I had been looking for sometime for one. With the completeness of inside, the little amount of rust . . . the price was worth it to me. That is probably the bottom line - what is it worth to you?
