    But you can braze a patch on - dimple in the surround to the hole then the patch fits over the hole and in the dimple, smooth/fill/bono as necessary.

    Will... my 2c :- ok - so you aren't out any $$$ - remember this point... seems more sentimental than usefull at this point... Many holes - not just one so probably other holes ready to blow through - complete bottom could be 'thinned' by corosion... sounds like chemical...
