Thank you Joshua. Glad I could assist you all well on the PM'S.
The end result is not talking to the folks picking up their completed units and sitting back and watch them for a while and their expressions...that is what makes it worth while.
I've added a lot of how I do it posts..might be...
Thx o1951...appreciate it that I learned something over the years starting 1965 at Marv Johnsons Chopper Shop.
Should be getting the mirrors...grille insert and brush guard along with the bumper and rear bumper painted this weekend.
not going to bore ya all with all the pics - but got it all painted with the 3 coats after spending a long morning today - this including the sanding of the cab to get the overall 3 coats laid out including the inside of the box. Got the CUCV pulled outta the garage after getting the masking...
box is sanded with 600.
Got the rest of the cab sanded down this morning - wiped down and then into epoxy primer. Gotta wait 24 hrs before block sanding this - then onto 2 coats OD - then sand the cab with 600 - and then final overall coat of OD
Got the brush guard off the 1009...got the box surface sanded to 600...will get the cab taped up tomorrow & masked off and see how close I get to shooting primer on the cab.
I took some exlax to get regular again Swiss.
Sunday morning...will be getting the 1009 moved around and project #33 slid into the garage and covered up at least.
Gotta do this anyhow due to height restrictions in the garage so I can get onto the cab roof as well as remove the brush guard...
Been sipping on some extra Crown to get rid of that Mich cold arse weather that started to overtake me.
Now I am ready to pee my pants to go with PB to check out what he has hidden under his sleeve for tomorrow.
If your curious...YES I will get back onto the project that will make you go HOLY...
HEY - just noticed - sure are a lot of couch potato slackers finally catching up to the "real" world events - laughing my butt off.
I may never get back onto the project - too much fun reading all the posts here taking up all my spare time.
Get a sippy pop and a snack - more happening this...
Rule #1.....ZOUT HATES WORKING WITH WOOD.
Amendment.....Zout dislikes painted wood.
The upcoming additional projects are those that are not allowed to be posted on SS.....just like a few of my other finished projects.
See a lot getting done this weekend on this project after a day at the Dr...
Well....even with congestive heart failure and high stage 4 kidney failure and nasty meds....I get a lot of chit done that would kill a lesser man working around me.
Besides I am the only one that works on customers vehicles..no-one else unless they just stop over to share liquid refreshment...
Spent all morning from sunrise till about 11 am at the fricking Dr's office - stopped in to see PaPaBear afterwards on the way home to sit with him for a few minuts - cab in primer - turned on the fans - then told TWM and Swiss I would not be able to shoot paint till the next day - HEY GUESS...
Inside is all masked off and ready to spray primer then paint - sent Swiss the final masking pic but knucklehead me deleted it - but here is what is sorta looks like unless Swiss can post it up what I sent him.
