My guess is he had the tailgate unpinned at the top and pinned with the braces that make it a chute , if the brackets were fold and stored against the box and the top hinge pins in it should be a issue. As quickfarms stated it's common practice here also to dump over the drawbar of the pup with doubles when stacking conveyors are regularly they are set-up with drive over hoppers for the feeder.
