I bought one of the generator trailers out of Letterkenny recently and was surprised to discover a box of tools was included. This worked well for me because I haven't received anything except 1 aux. fuel line with the 2 generators I've purchased. The tool box had just about everything except an auxiliary fuel line. There was a bag of fittings that included bolts for bolting generator to trailer, tool box to trailer, the ground stud, and 2 oil drains - 1/2" and 3/4" pipe - with hose and clamps. Also had an 8 lb sledge hammer and ground rod kit (rods, slide hammer, bolts/nuts) in it. A VERY nice surprise!!!

I have to ask... What kind of covers did you make for the air intake grates. I'm currently wrapping mine up in a tarp, not sure if it keep moisture out or in. So far I removed one mouse nest and afraid there are more coming.

Thanks,
Erik

Got any part #'s for the plastic Box Wrenches used on load terminals and which model genset load terminals they can be used on? I have looked in TM's but can't seem to put my finger on Box Wrench p/n for MEP-002a/-003a.

Chainbreaker,

There never was any box wrench made for any MEP-002A to 007A.
Hmmm, I see box wrenches advertised from time to time on eBay that "allegedly" are supposed to fit -002A/-003A load terminals. I once bought one of those that seller advertised to fit -002a; unfortunately it was a big honker that did not fit (P/N: CTM-282 / 5120-00-138-3790). Well...I guess if they never made a box wrench to fit the -002a/-003a load terminals I should just stop looking and use a metal one.

An image of the wrench from my MEP-803A is attached for part numbers. A 1-3/8 combination wrench fits the lugs. No idea if it will fit an 002a/003a. Part number is 30554 88-21146.

I didn't say that some of the wrenches won't fit. I said the milatary didn't make one especially for the 002 & 003. Now if I wanted to really know, I would look at the NSN of the load terminal, in several different parts manuals, and compare that to the various TQG parts manuals. I might just do that when I am using my computer, and not this silly tablet.

I think the wrench for the 802/803 works just fine on the 002/003 (I think I have used this many times on the 002 I just sold).

I just won an 803 at Letterkenny but it only came with a terminal wrench trailer jack crank and 3 ground rod sections.

I’m looking for the housing cover that goes over the cylinders on my MEP-002 generator. It came without one. Anyone know where I might find one?

Send a PM to Ray 70, and start a Want Add in the Parts wanted forum. When you post something to an old thread, often you do not get the visibility you need.

I don't know if they have them now or not, but I got a different replacement part of the enclosure for my MEP003A from Delks several years ago. The price was very good at the time.
