I have converted a 1996 m1078 into a plow truck with a 10' front plow and a 9' wing. The problem i am having is getting snow and ice in the brake drums. Can anyone help me with a part number or a place to get dust shield for the brakes?

Probably going to have to make it of have it made. The military didn't mount plows to these trucks.

We have both covered and un covered brakes in our fleet. On my lmtv I have left mine open much easier to clean mud and dirt out and when the brakes freeze up in the overnight blizzard they thaw with a space heater faster. Just my 2 cents I live in the arctic and these are air brake lessons I have learned from living here.

ohhh.. don't I wish that was true...LoL ... or I would have ton less rust ... no holes in chassis where plow was mounted by military and no military writing on the bumper that says.... PLOW HERE.

the military never intended them to be used as plows. it wasn't part of the job they were speced out to do. in certain reagons snow plows were added by units same for the hmmwv plowing snow was never an intended use but regional units were allowed an mwo to add a plow.
