Boot tear alot! Got an idea for guinea pig!

Has anyone EVER tried to tak 2 boots on a steer axle and double install them. Like doubling them up in layers! This might reduce tearing. I also have this idea of gluing nyl9n fabric to the boot prior to install.. If anyone has experiments to share on their r9ckwells 5 ton, 2.5 ton deuces or anything rockwell, please list it!

They are dust boots and not grease boots. Grease and oil gives them very short lives.
Methinks they should be made of leather.

The aftermarket sells a boot that is rubber. It is a one piece boot that requires disassembly of the knuckles. It is a much better seal.
