100%, it does nothing. There is no light behind it, and no manual or pressure switch in the latch or line.

Not so, there are lights behind all the positions on my A0, some are just not used.

Many/most don't even have a bulb populated in that spot. In either case, 100% it does nothing currently. There is no wiring going to those pins of the connector. There is no mystery to be solved here, no "for all we know it may already do something". You can wire something up to it if you'd like, and populate the bulb if your needs it.
