The dual or single rear wheels isnt that big a deal, I dont think. There is a set of adapters used to convert to single rears on the timkin axles. They use the lugs on the axle and have an outboard flange that has another set of studs. Looks to be the very same adapters that are used on the White M3A1 Scout Car with the same axle.
