So while I was relaxing under my hmmwv yesterday, installing a grounding harness, I noticed a thick black silicone-like substance covering all electrical connections on the starter. Now, I assume this is a measure taken to waterproof the connections and I would like to replace it for that benefit. However, I've been searching and can't find any product that matches this stuff. Could it really be just black silicone ? Anyone used anything else with success? Thanks in advance
