I made a new fuel tank for my '54 M135 and neglected the curved corners on the bottom, so I had to use some boards to mount the tank. It worked pretty well, but I was not going for a "restored" look for my truck. I don't have any great pictures of how the tank is mounted, but I hope this gives a general idea of what can be done if desired.

Thank you! The logo is a Mandalorian Skull from Star Wars over the remnants of the logo the fire department had painted over/ peeled off.
