I think its an absolutly GREAT plan----I also been checking things out for the girls, I ain't really got too many confermations but I truely think we will have more gun trucks then has ever been assembled in one spot since Nam---and as you know we had 7 at the first Forge------besides the trucks I can also see this being the biggest Gathering yet------you ain't gonna bring the goer??---------damn-------------Driver

I have my project narrowed down to Mr. Nice or Wild Honey. I'm tempted to build the former, from the pics I can see, it would be slightly easier to build (good, considering I've never built one), plus Mr. Nice would be a good oxymoron for me: MadDawg building Mr. Nice. Will have to think on this more....

Yes Srjeeper...annual Guntruck Gathering. Don't have many details yet but between Driver523, Uglyranger, and myself we will try to keep you all posted.

There are actually more Guntrucks north of PF TN then south so it seems to make sense to have it up there next year. Us po' boys in the South will just have to man up and travel. :-D

73M819...Ron...we met in LA at Tims house/rally. Maybe you and the wife can plan to travel up north with us? I know you would love it...they are a super good bunch of fellers.

We will see what happens as time moves on...at first I said no...but now I am saying convince me that I can't! :-D

I just got off the phone with one of the girls that are now handling the Gathering--she is going to write up something for me to post under events---somehow I don't feel like I gave much up here---anyway----you all just remember----anyone is welcome to these Gatherings, you need not to have been in the military or anything, just the love for transportation is enough, you all are more then welcome to the same lodging, events, or anything else that goes on-----------Driver

Folks...Driver523 organized the Guntruck Gatherings and has kept it going for years...yes he has turned it over to capable hands now...but he started and has sustained this most excellent mission.

I must say...he has a goofy looking mustache...but he is a heck of a good troop! :-D

Okay, I'm decided - I'M BUILDING MR. NICE. Thanks for the applause, will start my quest of finding a good-running and non-cancerous M37 to start the build shortly.

I think someone named Tony in FL has already built Mr. Nice. He bought some replica M60s and M16s from me a year or two ago... I'll look and see if I still have the pictures he sent me.

I thought that M37 gun trucks were going to be unique, something that few have done, but the more I poke, the more they have already been done... :roll:

Maybe a better thread would be: what M37 gun trucks HAVEN'T been re-made yet?

Hope to find out more on this when I contact driver523....
