A local contruction type sent me this picture of a part that his mechanic pulled out of the transmission of a deuce. He did not know where it was in the tranny. I don't recognize it. Anyone know where it's located?
Thanks
Jeff

It's like a shift gate type thing! It goes in the transmission top cover section. It is the upper most part in the transmission, excluding the shift shaft stub. Look in Tm #9-2520-246-34-1, page 60 of 418. item # 4"plate"

Thanks Doghead! haven't had to pull a shifter apart, guess that's why it didn't ring a bell. I poulled the top cover off a junk tranny and sure enough, there it was. Guess I gotta tell my friend to get his workers to stop speed shifting. :driver:
