Hello, Just acquired my first AMG M35A2C. Finally got old enought I didn't have to ask my wife. My question is How do you find the year on them and what was the last year the AMG M35A2C was made? Great forum with lots of info. Thanks, Gerry

Not sure about the last year built, but you should be able to find the year of manufacture on the data plate located on the passenger side dashboard. Welcome to the site! I am also the proud owner of a M35A2C previously owned by the Air Force. If you scan the threads, mine is the one getting a tranny removal.

Welcome to the famblee!
I have a 1987 M35A2c, it sat side by side for years at Peterson AFB here in town next to steelandcanvas' truck. Our VINs are 2 digits apart.
My VIN starts off with 87K1773...........
What I pick up from reading on this here site everyday for a little over 5 years, seems like the 1987's and 1988's went to the air force. Seems like '88 is the last year. Google on any question or topic you want to know about and it will more than likely bring you to a thread on this site.

Do you have a blue warranty plate on the dash of your truck? That corresponding year will be the year it was built (typically found in the '80's) trucks. If it is a USAF truck they typically will have the year as part of the VIN ie 88kXXXXXX denotes a 1988 truck. The army has a different VIN method. If your truck has the split brake circuit it is either an '87, '88, or '89 truck.

Thanks those who know. It does have the blue warranty plate on dash with 2-88 and the VIN is 88K2481040-11149 and it did come from the USAF. The best part of it is it only has 3580 miles on it with little to no rust. Thanks for the update. Gerry

SO WHERE'S THE PICTURES!!!!!

WE LOVE deuce porno!!!

And with TWO posts ... welcome aboard. Good to have you.

You probably have a whole bunch of NUBE questions. A number of the old hands around here HATE it if you ask a questions that has been asked a million times before. Even if there is NO WAY you would know before hand ... you will get reamed, steamed and dry cleaned in short order if you ask a "typical" nube question.

If you intend coming here a lot ... allow me to make a couple or three suggestions that will make your FNG life a LOT easier.

1) READ THE FORUM RULES!!! Some folks here are REAL sensitive about the rules.

2) Down load and read the manuals. Do NOT ask a question about something that can be found in a TM.

3) Think of this site as a HUGE library of information on Military Vehicles (MV), which it is. Before you ask ANY QUESTION please, please, please use the search function of this forum ... and probably the hotrodding forum as well.

Also ... if you come across a button that is marked "PUSH TO TEST, RELEASE TO DETONATE" do NOT push it.

like I said before ... welcome aboard.
