Dixie Division annual fall rally

2-3 November 2012
Annual Dixie Division Military Vehicles Club Fall Rally and Business Meeting at Tannehill State Park in Bucksville, Alabama.
The annual Fall Rally and Swap meet for the DDMVC. Some of us will be there setting up on Thursday. Tannehill State Historical park is off exit 100 on I59 between Tuscaloosa and Birmingham.

Change in plans.....I will not be there until Saturday morning. I'll still have t-shirts and trade goods to includ big ammo cans and big green wooden military shipping boxes.

Well the event was a success and a good time was had by all.

Elmo and Ellie Mae watched from a secure perch (since it was an MVPA event Elmo was shanghied from before).

One topic the was brought up was sponsoring a large Southeastern MV event in Huntsville in 2014.

It would be held at the Veteran's Memorial Museum there. The Veterans Memorial Museum - Huntsville Alabama

We hope that it will be as well attended as Aberdeen.

Would SS members support such a regional event?

It would be held in the spring or fall to avoid the heat of Alabama summers.

After some talk around the campfire Saturday night, it seems the idea for early March was popular. Nothing firm, just my observation. March though, would keep it from conflicting with the SS GA rally.

I heard from my wife today about a rally coming up in Samson Alabama. Does and one know when it is? Or any details.

Check the Dixie Division Website. That is Lamar and Jewel Roland's event held at their RV park every year. From what I hear it is a great event I just haven't been able to make it yet.
