I believe the M39 series of 5 tons does not have a long enough engine compartment for the Cummins.

I may be wrong..........

You looking for a decent LDS that the seller would take a blown engine in the deal?
What are you asking?
I don't know if I'm going to get the truck till tomorrow.
I would like to fix it up.

Rocco, you can put an International DT-466 in there and have great power(up to 245 in the older ones) and a bunch more useable RPMs. Up to 2850 with out over redlining. There is also a DT-540 with real big power but it is Electronic. JT out

I don't think a NH250 Cummins will fit without some body modification. I think that's the main reason they went to a different front end on the M809 5-tons with the Cummins.
