?? 1950's Dorsey 28' 12 ton trailer??

Does anyone out there have any info on a 1950's era Dorsey 28' 12 ton trailer. It has a WWII looking and a commercial type electrical plug. Older syle commercial type air brakes. Wood deck. What unit or organization would "AMC PAD" be?? That marking is on the front of the trailer.

AMC probably refers to Army Materiel Command.

PAD would either refer to U.S. Army Public Affairs Detachment, or the Army Product Assurance Directorate, located out of Edgewood, Maryland.
