1998 Chevy 2500 4X4 6.5 Turbo Air Force Truck 77,000 Miles - $7,000 or reasonable offer.
Bought this clean truck at auction in 2013 from Edwards Air Force Base in northern California. Had it converted to the mechanical injection pump and mechanical waste gate from a 1993 Chevy donor truck.
The transmission 4L80 set up for manual shift and the New Process 241G ratio 2.72 transfer case was sent out for a premium rebuild plus new torque converter. Turbo is the XC6500X9. Differential gear ratios are 3:73. Front and rear driveshafts have new U-Joints. New SSD-8304 miser injectors were installed and purchased from SSDIESEL Supply. Additionally, I have a spare Dipaco # DPE62120 injector mount kit. Still have the original injectors and electronic injection pump. New Bosch glow plugs. Glow plug controller was bypassed with a 50 amp manual push button switch to alleviate the common problems with glow plug controller failures.
Other parts and service done, alternator belt, belt tensioner, water pump, upper & lower radiator hoses, alternator model:3345611 Ultima Select, starter, thermostat, Amsoil 75W110 sever gear lube front & rear differentials. Amsoil Torque Drive transmission fluid and transfer case fluid.
B&M Ultimate Floor Shifter model: 80775 installed. The HUMMWV rims were sent out to a specialty shop in Sparks Nevada to refit the centers to fit the 1998 Chevy. Comes with Hub Centric wheel balancers. The rims are true bead lock with run flats. Tire size 37x12.50 R16 LT Goodyears.
The HUMMWV drivers and passenger seats are NOS with the up and down and slider features. The regular HUMMWV's only have this feature for the driver's seat with the passenger seat being stationary. Rubberized armored personnel carrier insulation acts as a superior sound deadener that has been installed in the interior. 4" Tuff Country suspension lift. Windshield leaks and the headliner will need to be replaced or removed. I have a plethora of spare parts available from the donor truck.
