20k winch

I pulled the winch off the front of my M543A2 and was checking it out. The cluch lever won't engage. I tried tapping it with a hammer and pullin on it real hard. I spun the drum and the pto shaft. but it still won't engage. I also pulled the inspection cover off of the PTO side and everything looks normal.

any ideas?

I'm in exactly the same boat with my rear winch. Clutch MUST have frozen to the shaft. If you get it free, post it. If I beat ya to it...I'll post.
