I have yet to test, but my guts are saying it's got to be the ignition coil that is blowing fuses, and now a new fuse won't get it to fire. (NOTE this has been retired from a switched fuse block)
I am apprehensive about the coil installation, as I have seen work being done with the distributor in as well out,.....what best....probably.... out.
I didn't notice these screws when I bought it, but am a anticipating challenges......
In the one photo you can see the varied screw heads, and the screw head in the 7:00 position has left the chat......Just the stud remains, and the coil wire entry is through a gob of silicone.
My question is to remove the distributor and assess the situation, OR....try a civilian distributor and scrap efforts to salvage this one?
I read where a civilian distributor may work on the oil pump drive?
Just looking i would anticipate; ignition wire whip, cap, rotor, points, condenser, and coil.....
Thoughts advice is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
