302 engine head gasket set

It seems that the gaskets for these trucks are nearly gone. Does anyone have a source for more recently produced gasket sets? The remaining NOS sets are 40 plus years old. Certainly there are some out there. Epay doesn't seem to have anything.

The NOS supply is certainly thinning out but I did see a kit on eray today with the title "
gmc 302,m135, m211, 6 cyc engine overhaul gasket kit fel-pro

It was linked through one of those faceoff places https://www.facebook.com/groups/1983094901939987 ....then Dan Jahn says he still has NOS kits if you need one.

I saw the epay one. My buddy, who this is for, is very hesitant of the NOS units as he thinks he sees crumbling in the cork pieces. It may be his only choice however. I also did see the parts thread. Anyone who owns one of these very uncommon trucks should have been stocking up on consumables for years. Thanks!

Those 40+ year old gaskets are going to be so dry I doubt the hole would still line up.

Yes best makes a new production gasket set. If you scroll to the top and look at the sticky g749 parts list, paul has compiled a nice list.

Just to let you know the Best gasket set will not have the lower oil pan gasket since the military 302 has a 2 piece oil pan and the civilian 302 is 1

thanks, I'll let him know. He's had the head off due to exhaust leaks so the lower end is untouched.
