3116 Exhaust Manifold

I'd like to get your opinion on which exhaust manifold is best - the 3-piece, or the 1-piece? The OEM manifold seems to not have a very good reputation for longevity, and I was wondering if anyone here has experienced that. Mine doesn't have any exhaust leaks, but one of the bolts has obviously been replaced, and I'm assuming the bolts were removed to replace the gasket, but I don't know that for sure. If we're going to have to swap it out in relatively short order, I'd just as soon do it now. Is one better than the other?

The one piece was superceded due to cracking and warping. The 3 piece is the standard now and used on the 3126 and C7 to this day.

While you're in there get a 3126 Borg Warner S300 turbo and the 280 HP fuel pump and adjust the rack to the high output settings. Get rid of that discontinued Schwitzer junk.

Or pull that heap out and put in an MRAP C7 with 370 HP, 931 TQ. Live large.
