A good place that I have recently been looking at is www.craigslist.com if you live in a major city that they have listings in. Lots of good deals to be found. I just scored a good running driving no major problems 86 jeep cherokee 4x4 for $275.00. There was a complete chevy diesel 3/4 ton turck in the los angeles area with a 6.2 for around $800. People listing on craigslist are usually too lazy to try ebay and just want the item sold quick. Good luck.
