6.2 starts then revs up

Ok. On the 6.2 I changed glow plugs and the contol box. that fixed that problem however when it starts it starts to rev up and has to be shut off. Could it be the pump?

More than likely, it is something to do with the pump. Unplug the two green wires at the IP and also unhook the throttle cable. Make sure the throttle is all the way closed and the fast idle solenoid isn't frozen on somehow. It will be harder to start cold, but fire it up and see what happens. If it revs uncontrolled again. You either have something that burns in your air filter, air intake or a stuck internally pump.
