Air pack

I am helping a friend with his truck and he rebuilt the airpack. From what I have seen , the air pack was rebuilt the right way. I just stopped by to see how he is coming and he is not building any air. A ton of air is coming out of the vent line. Any thing I should look for. All the lines are installed correctly

I pulled a few longs apart and found oval housings like someone stepped on it. The Plate, assy or the plunger could be get hung up. There's a PM for the Early Deuce about removing a line and lubbing the large piston so maybe it's an easy solution.
