I recently had my drivers side alternator rebuilt because my truck quit charging. I reinstalled it and everything worked okay. I then had trouble this morning and had my passenger side alternator rebuilt. I reinstalled it and when i went to install the positive battery cable to the front battery it was arching pretty bad and finally the passenger side alternator started smoking bad and then the cable quit arching on the battery. What may cause this?

Ummm hooking the wires up wrong... OR more likely... they didnt rebuild the alternator properly, and its NOT an isolated ground alternator.
