Retrofitted the original 6-cyl Deutz air-cooled Diesel, like I saw at YPG back in '82?

It was so pretty under the hood went like a raped ape, and took the contract away from Teledyne and GM.

I was a bit curious about this and I had to go see what a quick web search would do..

AM General submitted another design for the XM966 contract for the High Mobility Multi-Purpose Vehicle TACOM had demanded in 1977.

anyway, as for retrofitting hmm I can't really comment on that especially regarding the engine bay flow itself so I'll leave that to someone else..

That chassis & body was originally designed just for that Deutz powerplant.
