Rats......the button isn't doing anything...... Well heres what I did to find the cause. Got in this morning and the button did nothing, but wait, it sort of did the same thing yesterday, push the button and nothing, push it a fiew more times and .....finally it turned it over and started right up, but today, well I'v pushed it a dozen or more times, three or four epesodes of that also. hmmmm? well I'll look in Steel Soldiers forum search and see what everyone else is experiancing. I started with the switch, took it out, unpluged it and pluged it back and reinstalled it, nothing. So I decided to check the battery terminals, cleaned a couple that needed it sort of, still nothing. Checked the charge on the batteries, up to the top, 100%. Hmmmmm. Well I decided to un-do the conections on the starter and wire brush all the bolts and washers and nuts along with the lug ends, put it all back and nothing still ????hmmmm????Well theres one last starter wire to clean, the one farthest away, next to the block in location, the ground cable. Got the wrench on it and started loosening it, got the nut and lock washer off and the whole cable and all came out, the other copper lug end had broken and so that was what was giving me an intermittant start conection yesterday, it just happened to toutch the frame or bolt enough to get a connection, but today it was a no-go. So the frame side copper lug for the starter ground was the culprit. You may want to remember that if you ever find your starter not working when you push the button. 37 Years....aaahh, I got my moneys worth out of that cable I guess.............
