axle boot

i replaced a axle boot in june, i just noticed thats it is soft , thin, and ripped already, like something desolved the rubber, any thought on this, a 5 month life span of a axle boot is not going to get it, thanks

i wonder if brake fluid from a seeping wheel cyl or line could be the culprit ? i understand what you mean about 5 mo not getting it as these are such a joy to change !
