Went to a hamfest this morning, mainly to sell some junk I didn't need. However, as usual, bought more than I sold. Scored a pair of PRC-68 handheld radios in working condition, each with H-189 handsets and antennas, for $150 together. There is a mod out there to allow use of standard 9-volt batteries as a power pack for them. however you still need the standard battery box for the -68 series. Unfortunately, it seems all the normal sources of PRC-68 parts seem to be out of them now.
Does anyone have a line on 2 new or very good used battery boxes for these radios?
