Folks tell me what you think here. M1028 is the vehicle. I removed the front battery to work on the headlight. When I reinstalled the battery the truck wouldnt start properly. Sounded like a weak battery. So I replaced the front posts and cleaned the rear. Still not starting properly. So then I charged each battery. Still not strarting properly. The front battery is the only one that was removed from the truck and the rear battery was only handled to the extent to remove the cables.

Check all your connections. Also check the grounds to the frame. Might be corrosion or loose connection.

If you're reasonable sure that the batteries are ok then check the cables themselves. Sometimes the battery acid creeps up the wires and corrodes the wiring under the insulation where you can't see it. They're **** to spot but an easy way to check them is to bypass each cable with a jumper cable. For example, use your jumper cable to connect the two batteries to see if the normal interconnect cable is bad. You can also use a jumper cable to connect the negative side of the first battery directly to ground in order to by pass the standard ground cable. Finally jumper the pos side of the second battery directly to the starter to bypass that cable. Connect directly to the battery terminals if you can.
