Spent quite a lot of time measuring trailers and tractors today. I want to convert one of my bobbed deuces to a tractor. I am having a hard time deciding where to put the 5th wheel. I can move the axle easily so that is not a limiting factor.
I am going to use hardware from an M818 so from the 5th wheel back is a given. I will just copy what the M818 has.
What is the minimum required distance from the rear of the cab to the front of the 5th wheel?
I have looked on here and I found rattlecans post but I am still not clear.
