I got a bid from a body shop for prepping and painting my deuce with Rapco paint. I'm supplying the paint, they're doing everything else. It's not in too bad of condition, and I told them I'm not looking for a museum quality job. They quoted me $3500, which I think is a really good deal. I'm going to do the stenciling myself. I just don't have the time to do the painting myself. It's going to be the 24087 olive drab. Anybody have a paint shop do it for you? What did they charge?

I had an XM1061E1 trailer sandblasted and painted once, several years ago. $800.00 for the sandblasting and $1000.00 for the priming and painting and I supplied the primer and 383 paint. They sandblasted and painted everything, including the bottom and it looked like new when they finished. They also did all 5 wheels. There was a lot of rust when they started.

I haven't considered taking my truck anywhere to get painted. Any time my dad got his trucks painted he did it himself outside with a spray gun setup. I may do the same if I have the right environment on it, like no trees dropping junk on my new paint!

I had a body shop quote me for painting up my wife's 15-passenger GMC van, and they gave me the "we won't do it" price of $20000. They clearly weren't starving for work  I'm not familiar with many shops in my area, but I think if they can paint tricked-out F-350s with jacked-up suspension, they can probably do a deuce too.
