For sale is a prototype of a new product I am developing. There are some things I will do differently on future versions, but this is fully serviceable and I don't want to have it sit in my shop doing nothing.
Contact me with a phone number or email so I can send more pictures so you know what you're getting. This is made from milspec MIL-PRF-20696 14oz PVC vinyl. It is not a laminated vinyl and is a lighter weight than some vinyls used. (I've never heard of or seen it wearing through, it's just lighter, it's still strong.)
I will not offer any others at this price. If you want a different material, please contact me but understand those will not be prototypes and will be more expensive. I intend to make mosst production out of black sailcloth, because it is the most popular aftermarket HMMWV vinyl by customer demand.
The stiffeners I refer to are shown in my HMMWV soft slant back thread here: https://www.steelsoldiers.com/threa...ack-and-discussion.176620/page-2#post-2613091 They are 5 steel bars that span between the cargo bows to provide more support. These are also available for individual sale, but again not at the "prototype" price.
Part of buying this is the understanding that 1) it's a prototype, and 2) I need your feedback on its utility and performance so I can improve my future products.
