Cab bushings (mounts)

So, my cab mounts look like they're original or decayed enough to appear that way. Finding new mounts isn't difficult, but I've modified my cab, above the doorline and it is much, much heavier than the original cab - probably around 10x heavier.

I was thinking of doubling up the front cab mounts then ordering a second set of front mounts, modifying them and adding to beef up the back mounts to keep everything equal height. The extra weight must add more squish value to the original mounts, though probably not double. Should I shave down the additional mounts that I add, or just leave them as is - does it matter?

Thoughts?

Are the pics of the old mounts with the extra weight? They seem to be handling it fine.

Adding extra joints of the same compression rate puts them all at very high elongation. Maybe you should look for a stiffer material instead?

The first two pics are stock pics to let people know what I'm talking about. The second two pics show the current pads.

The subject came up because the cab vibration appears to be more noticeable, and we think the additional weight on the mounts might be a cause. I'm not kidding when I say the weight of the cab has been increased significantly. Maybe the mounts the army used was calibrated for any weight or who knows. Sometimes the military overengineers and sometimes they go with the least they need.

Adding an additional 1/8" which might compress even further hardly seems "very high elongation".

Time for those little airbags that semi truck cabs use?
Hmm...no.
