CUCV II alternator question

I know all about the CUCV and dual alternators, but nothing about the CUCV II single alternator. I now own both an m1009 and a CUCV II and having a little issue with the alternator on the CUCV 2

The drivers side battery doesn’t seem to be charging, reads 12.7 volts while running. The passenger battery reads as should while running. Glow plugs weren’t cycling correctly this week and the battery got pretty weak trying to start it. I figured out the glow plugs (coolant temp sensor was bad) but trying to figure out the alternator now. It’s a reman alt that was installed before I bought it, not sure how good it is .

Do you have the stock setup with the 12-24 converter behind the seat?

yes I do. Actually had no idea that was what that is though lol

It has a fuse that can blow and then the second battery does not get recharged.

awesome thank you, I’ll check that out. Is the fuse behind the seat ?

Yes I believe it is located in the unit itself.
