Diameter of axle boot

Can anyone here take a measurement of their steering knuckle boots? Specifically where it clamps onto the knuckle. I would like to see if the M35A2 boots will fit onto the earlier GMC knuckles which are quite similar, but use a more complicated setup of seals and garter springs to keep things sealed up. I think it may work, but I am not sure.

Roughly 7" inside and 10" outside. My boot as you can see is a little warped. I placed that metal circle in it and it seemed to fit(maybe a tad snug, its greasy, wouldn't stay in place). That circle is 7".
