The first 6 pics are of the passenger side and the last 3 are of the drivers side. At first I thought the passenger side was broken, but when I pulled it out, it seems to be made that way. Does anyone have experience with either of these types of CV joints? Is it normal to have 2 different kinds on these trucks? Is one better than the other? Any help/information is appreciated.

thanks Robert

Same as for 2.5tons..... 1st type is the early 4-ball style, both are true CV-joints, last type pictured (6 balls) is said to be much stronger/durable.

No problem running them mixed.
