I WAS reading on another forum that u can replace the hydraulic fan clutch with a H1 clutch? is this true?

Yes. I wrote an article on this for Military Vehicles Magazine about 14 years ago, but I cannot find it now. You use the thermostatic clutch and fan from the H1, and have to grind the boss off the water pump pulley. I hated the dumb "Cadillac" valve engaging at 55 mph randomly and scaring the s--t out of me every time.
