Use the exact numbers from the data plate. That way if you get pulled over the officer will only have 1 set of numbers to think about instead of one in his hand or on his screen and what is on your dash. Keep it simple.

Because SC charges for tags by GVWR weight, I've registered all mine by their 'off road' GVWR, which saves me about $75 per truck, per year on tags. YMMV!

Hi,
I did not see a GVWR on any of the data plates. The definately are none on the doors and the doors look like they have been replaced at some point. If in filling out the SF97 is the any advantage to putting a higher or lower number in the GVWR spot on the form?
Does it then come out on the SF97 that you receive to use to title it? Also, When you license it, can you license it for a higher or lower value than what is a result of the SF97 and title? Is it something where you can license it up to the GVWR?

Thanks,

Bob
