Flat spot at idle

When I first hit the throttle there is a flat spot where nothing happens and then it goes fine....it's like the first 1/2 inch of pedal there's a BOG that is noticeable....what gives Thanks everyone

fuel pump maybe? sort of similar to a turbo lag? perhaps an electric pump. or maybe linkage issue

IT does seem like a failure of some sort...but could also be linkage...good call, I will check in a.m.

I have to say that this is an intermittent problem and i'd just like to know if theres anything other than the lift pump(new) and IP that are canidates for failure... thanks again
