FMTV dash dimmer lights inop, what to check first?

I know that they used to work and there’s nothing that I can think of specifically that would have caused the dash lights to stop working... I’ve tried the different settings on the dimmer switch and nothing changes... does anyone know if there is a specific fuse or relay to check?

TIA

Are you calling the 3 lever switch the "dimmer"? There is a separate knob that dims the instruments, just making sure you figured that out before advising ripping open the dash.

Well you heard of "butt dial" right? Well my guess is you had "dangling finger dimimng"

Sounds like in past as you moved the light switch a dangling finger, sleeve of jacket or?? was brushing the dimmer knob NEXT to the light switch. Now it's been brushed enough to be off.

Turn you panel lights on to bright with light switch and adjust turn knob... intentionally
