Spoke with the UPS driver some time ago when he had just started driving a new delivery truck. They are required to shut down the engine at every stop to save fuel, but it's hard on the engine and starter, of course, so now the trucks (engines) are equipped with an injector "cleaning" device that operates for 30 seconds or so after shut-down. There is also a pre-start procedure (pre oiler?) to help save the engine.
The driver doesn't know anything about the system and I'm curious, so, is anyone here familiar with this?
