I was sure at one time there was a PS article on changing the Axle boot. I cant seem to find it now. Does any one still have it?
Thanks

I have used a silicone based sealant called "Goop". It must contain some kind of primer because it sticks
to anything (unlike 100% silicone). Used it for my "Bikini" canvas top too. It really is good. Or use a marine type urethane sealer (West Marine 1-800-262-8464).
Coat the zipper of the boot.

Sounds GOOP to me! (I'm sorry - couldn't resist...) I had forgotten about that stuff. It's kinda like J-B Weld - sticks to anything.
I'll give it a try. Thanks for the tip.
p.S. I'm assuming that was plain ol' GOOP; not one of the variations?

In following the Goop advice, I actually found several kinds at Lowes, Home Depot, and KMart. West Marine was out until mid August at the earliest. Types included 'household', 'plumbing', and the like. Each has a list of materials it's made to stick to, '...and more...'

I decided to stick with the recommendation finally found an EBay merchant with 'Marine Goop' as in the '...Won't Wear Boots...' thread and am hoping the 3 tubes arrive today.
