From the other thread on the RT-524, a good working 524 is $400 +, a shell probably $100, with more guts, the price rises, but it depends on what is missing (some parts are harder to source than others). PRC-77 is less but not by a whole lot. Main problem for civilians using them is the only legal frequency band available is six meters (50-51 MHz). Some folks gut the inside and put a recording of actual Vietnam Era radio traffic in a player as a display. I guess it depends on what you want to use it for as to how much it's worth.
