Fuel Injection Pump lines

I am looking at a picture of the top of a 1968 FI pump and the seals where the lines to each cylinder attach to the pump look pretty cracked and even the housing appears to have cracks in it. My question is how serious is this? Can rubber seals leak here or do they just position the tubing in place. If they go bad what are the consequences?

Would you buy a M35A2 with this appearance on the pump?

Thanks
